Fred Vilbig
Attorney & Founder
Fred L Vilbig has been serving clients in the areas of estate planning, corporate law, and real estate transactions for over 30 years. He prepares wills and trusts and assists clients in probate and trust administration. He helps clients in the formation of business entities, negotiating contracts, and planning and implementing sales and transitions. He also helps clients with their purchase, sale, and development of residential property.
Fred received his law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law after earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Dallas. He is licensed to practice law before all the courts in the State of Missouri and in front of the United States Supreme Court. He has received over 30 private letter rulings from the national office of the Internal Revenue Service and has argued a case in front of the IRS in Washington DC.
Fred and his wife live in Ellisville where they raised their eleven children. He has served as an Ellisville City Council member and continues to serve on the Ellisville board of adjustment. He is a continuing board member and past president of the Missouri St. Thomas More Society and numerous other local, regional, and national non-profit boards.
Since 2015, Fred has published (and continues to publish) Law Matters in local, suburban newspapers. His articles tell stories of cases he has handled for clients hoping to help others better understand the law.
